Puppy Socialization
It’s never too early to start training your pup! The window of socialization is 6 to 12 weeks, so start today! In our classes, your energetic or fearful pup will learn how to practice the real-life skills with other puppies and people. By playing with others in the same age group, Fluffy learns what works and what doesn’t work with her playing style and those oh-so-sharp teeth! Be sure to have your age-appropriate vaccination records with you at the first class. We separate puppy play sessions into different age-appropriate groups:
- 8 to 12 weeks
- 12 to 16 weeks
- 17 to 24 weeks
In these sessions, you and your pup learn basic manners, including time outs during play sessions, listening, watching you for cues, and politely playing and greeting other dogs and people.
Drop-in classes: $10 per puppy drop-in sessions with four or more classmates; call about individual sessions

AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Canine Good Citizen Classes
Does your pup already have some obedience training, but you want to show off what he can do? In these 6-week classes, we provide the training skills needed to receive the coveted Canine Good Citizen certification from the American Kennel Club for your pup. He can then go on to earn his masters in the adult AKC classes when he’s a year or older! In 6 weeks, you’ll receive training for the specified tasks your dog needs to perform in front of a certified AKC CGC evaluator (we are certified to test your pup). The AKC CGC certification can help you continue Rover on the path of either being a therapy dog, or a model citizen in your neighborhood! Weekly handouts and official Canine Good Citizen handbooks provided.
Classes: $125 per dog, and $10 for final evaluation from a certified CGC evaluator
Behavior Modification
New puppies often exhibit behaviors that can grow into problems. We encourage you to nip those issues in the bud! Sometimes it’s as simple as learning boundaries. Other times it’s more complicated. It could be it’s just a matter of getting your pup socialized with other dogs and people. Behaviors such as fear, separation anxiety, pottying in the house, and reactivity are problematic. During sessions of 6 or 8 weeks, we teach you how to work positively and communicate with your pup on particular behaviors. You’ll get a private consultation, homework, videos of you working with your cutie, along with additional material.
Cost: $25 initial evaluation fee, deducted from the cost of a 6-week or longer training package. Call for details–10% off first-time clients.
